Tasks:
• Understand the business strategy and how this will impact the CAD tooling requirements and landscape
• Support BA in defining a delivery and resource plan aligning with RR-SMR timelines.
• To understand the current and forecast CAD systems, data usage and processes
• To define the ongoing CAD strategy / Roadmap for RR-SMR
• Understand the functional and non-functional business requirements and business pain-points
• Understand the technical requirements for business and IT
• Understand the functional and technical data and system integration requirements
• Capture and manage Risks, Issues, Assumptions and Dependencies discovered during this work
• Understand the various vendor offerings and ongoing product roadmaps, and how they align to RR-SMRs requirements
• Coordinate with the business and influence them into using the most appropriate tool / application for each type of data
• Creating metrics for the CAD tools (tool comparison)
• Create approved Design(s) in line with requirements gathered and aligned to the Rolls-Royce SMR format
• Create approved Service transition documentation
• Create approved Component standards which are recorded and retained
• Investigate for the data types in use across RR-SMR to include but not limited to;
o Mechanical Components
o Electrical/EC&I Components & Wiring
o Civil Components
o PI&Ds & Routing (Electrical / Pipework /HVAC)
o Model Based Definitions
• Understand and recommend the consumption of CAD data for;
o Bill of Manufacture (BOM)
o Bill of Process (BOP)
o Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
